If you visit the Racers Lodges, don’t expect the hustle and bustle of the big city. Here you can hear the fox and rabbit say goodnight and experience many more great things than you might have thought. We have put together a selection:

Panoramic view of the Elzbachtal Valley

We offer this free of charge!

The Elzbach has its source in the high Eifel, in Hochkelberg, and flows via Monreal, past the medieval Pyrmont Castle and the beautiful Eltz Castle, to Moselkern, where it finally flows into the Moselle.
The waterfall at the Pyrmonter Mühle is particularly impressive – the largest waterfall in the Eifel with Pyrmont Castle in the background.
This spot is perfect for a short break during a hiking tour.

The “Eltzer Burgpanorama” and “Pyrmonter Felsensteig”. dream trails are perfect for hiking.

One particularly beautiful section is the Eifelverein’s Way of St James: from Monreal in the Vordereifel through the Elzbach valley to Moselkern on the Moselle.

The wooded and rocky Elzbach Valley shows its best side with wild nature, the castles of Eltz and Pyrmont and the half-timbered village of Monreal, but with plenty of culture worth seeing!

Built close to the Elzbach stream, Eltz Castle has been in the family for 1000 years and is one of the few castles that have never been destroyed over the centuries. The castle is enthroned on a 70 metre high rocky outcrop.

The journey is worth it!
